The short version
- Hot Bundles stores your bundle settings and anonymous performance numbers so the app can work and show you analytics.
- We do not collect your customers' names, email addresses, phone numbers, shipping addresses or payment details.
- We never sell data, and we never use it for advertising.
- When you uninstall, Shopify asks us to delete your store's data, and we do.
1. Who we are
Hot Bundles (the "App") is a Shopify app that lets merchants add bundle offers, such as quantity breaks, buy X get Y deals, mix and match packs, free gifts and complete-the-look add-ons, to their online store. The App and this website, hotbundles.net, are provided by Momo Digitals ("we", "us" or "our").
This policy explains what information the App and the website collect, how we use it, and the choices merchants, their customers and website visitors have. For questions, email Business@momodigitals.com.
2. Information the App collects
From merchants, when you install and use the App
- Store information: your shop's myshopify.com domain, the permissions (scopes) you granted, and the access token Shopify issues so the App can act on your store.
- Staff account details: when Shopify provides them for a signed-in session, the staff member's name, email address, locale and whether they are the account owner. We use these only to run that session.
- Store data we read through Shopify's API: product names, images, prices and variants, and your store's currency, time zone, money format and brand color. We use these to show product previews in the editor, build bundle discounts and show analytics in your store's currency and time zone.
- Content you create: bundle names, tiers, prices, styles, translations, the products or collections each bundle targets, and App preferences such as whether you dismissed the setup guide.
- Billing status: which plan you chose and whether it is active. Payments are handled by Shopify; we never see your card or bank details.
From your storefront, about shopping activity
To show you how bundles perform, the App records limited, non-identifying activity:
- Widget events: that a bundle widget was viewed or a bundle was added to the cart, with the bundle ID, product ID and time.
- Bundle order summaries: for completed checkouts that contain a Hot Bundles bundle, the order or checkout ID, order total, currency, the revenue and discount from bundle lines, and which bundles were used. A Shopify web pixel, which runs in Shopify's sandbox, sends this summary to our servers.
We do not store customers' names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses, payment information or browsing history. The widget does not set its own cookies. Like any web server, our servers may briefly keep technical request data, such as IP addresses, in logs for security and troubleshooting. We do not use any of this information for profiling or advertising.
3. Information this website collects
- Contact form: when you send a message, we receive your name, email address, store URL (if you add it) and message by email, and use them only to reply to you.
- Server logs: our website host keeps standard access logs, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and to keep the site running.
This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
4. How we use information
- To provide the App: show your bundles on your storefront, create and update the matching automatic discounts, and apply your settings and translations.
- To show you analytics about bundle views, add-to-carts, orders and revenue.
- To manage your subscription through Shopify Billing.
- To answer support requests and messages sent through this website.
- To keep the App and website secure and working, and to meet legal obligations.
5. How we share information
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us run the App and website, under terms that require them to protect it:

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, users or the public. If Momo Digitals is involved in a merger or sale, information may transfer as part of that transaction, and this policy will continue to apply to it.
6. Data retention and deletion
- We keep your store's data while the App is installed.
- When you uninstall, we delete your login sessions right away and set your bundles to draft. Shopify removes the discounts the App created.
- About 48 hours after uninstall, Shopify sends us a shop data removal request. We then delete all of your store's data: bundles, translations, App preferences, widget events, order summaries and sessions.
- We respond to Shopify's customer data requests and customer redaction requests. Because the App stores no customer personal information, there is normally nothing to return or erase, and we confirm this.
- Contact form emails are kept in our support inbox for as long as needed to help you, and deleted on request.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Requests from Shopify are verified with HMAC signatures, and access tokens are stored on access-controlled servers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify affected merchants of a data breach as required by law.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and California, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict how we use it. Email Business@momodigitals.com to exercise these rights. We will respond within 30 days.
If you shop at a store that uses Hot Bundles, the store is responsible for your personal information. Please contact the store directly; we will help the merchant respond to your request.
If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Legal bases
For merchants and website visitors in the EEA or UK, we process information to perform our contract with you (providing the App), for our legitimate interests (answering messages, keeping the App and website secure and improving them), and to comply with legal obligations. For storefront activity, we act as a processor for the merchant, who decides how their store uses the App.
10. International transfers
Our service providers may store and process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. Children
The App and this website are for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the App changes. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date, and for significant changes we will notify merchants in the App or by email.
